New BBMP Council’s combined wealth higher than Bengaluru’s development budget
 
The Economic Times has analysed Janaagraha's data on corporators of the new BBMP council, based on the councillors’ bank balances, age groups, educational qualifications and criminal charges faced. The analysis reveals that the combined wealth of the BBMP’s 198 newly corporators, at Rs 1228.6 crores, exceeds the budget for city development at 1000.
