Look who’s talking! Charitha

1. How did you get to know of Janaagraha?

I heard of Janaagraha from my seniors in college, all of whom hold this organization in very high respect. They all had a fulfilling experience here.No wonder then that I was advised to intern in this very place for, according to them, this place would give me a lot more in return for what I would be able to give it. And I'm glad to say that they were perfectly right.

2. What kind of work do you do here?

It was as amazing an experience working with the people of Janaagraha as it was with Janaagraha itself. I worked with the Jaagte Raho! team and I couldn't have hoped for a better group of people to work with. The members of the team were so warm and welcoming and I felt an instant connect with them. I cannot ever hope to see a more dedicated yet fun-loving team.
I was assigned the task of calling people and welcoming them for the various events organized by this very efficient team. And for a shy person like me to actually call unknown people and make conversation with them was the very last thing I could have wished for! Nonetheless I stuck to my duties and was ably helped by the team when in a tight spot. I also had a hands-on experience meeting people in the media launch of the campaign which was a fantastic event.

3. Are you enjoying it? Is it educational?

Today, I can proudly say that I was a part of the Jaagte Raho! team that is sure to become as huge a success as the Jaago Re! campaign.I immensely enjoyed every moment I spent here and this fabulous experience helped me overcome my reticence to a large extent. For the profession I have chosen, that is law, there is nothing more important than to mingle and connect with people directly and with ease and Janaagraha has given me the perfect opportunity to learn exactly what is required. I thank each member of the team with all my heart and truly hope that they succeed in the change they are trying to bring about for everyone's benefit.
