I Change My City wins ISIF Awards 2015
IChangeMyCity.com received two awards during the Tenth Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) held in João Pessoa, Brazil, from 10 - 13 November 2015. The awards were part of the Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF Asia) 2015. IChangeMyCity.com was invited by the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) in its role as the Secretariat for ISIF Asia.
The ISIF award in the ‘Rights’ category included financial aid of AUD 3000 and an additional AUD 1000 as part of the Community Choice Award. In addition, a travel grant was given for a representative to join the Internet Governance Forum in Joao Pessoa, Brazil. Rajith Shaji, Product Manager, Jana Online received the same in an awards ceremony on 10th November. The ISIF Asia Award in the Rights category was presented by Mr. Laurent Elder of IDRC. The Community Choice Award was given to the project with the highest number of votes for the ISIF Asia awards. Miss Sylvia Cadena, coordinator of the FIRE Asia presented the award.

The Information Society innovation fund ISIF Asia is a grant and awards programmes supporting innovative Internet based solutions as tools to enhance social and economic development in the Asia Pacific region.
ISIF Asia is a partnership between the Canadian International development research centre, the Swedish International development agency and the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre. Projects that receive ISIF Asia fund showcase technical knowledge and innovation around Internet technologies. The projects contribute to social change by making communication cheaper and more accessible using the Internet to serve communities' needs in their own languages.
The 2015 ISIF Asia award recognized Internet innovation across four categories.
